Red Hot

Wow... 3rd post in a day. And its only the first day that I've started this thing. I'm really feeling inspired.

I would like to tell all of you who are non-Christians to at least check out this Christianity thing. Its not all ankle-length skirts and boring. I'll be making a special email add just for this blog where you can contact me if you have anything to ask or say. I seriously dont mind.

I suppose now would be the time to tell you to forget all that stuff Dan Brown wrote in Angels and Demons and The Da Vinci Code. I myself like his books, as they're a good read with an interesting plot. I just dont BELIEVE what he is saying. Ever wonder why its classified under 'Fiction'? He makes it sound like its all fact but I highly doubt so. Sure, the church is not as steady as it was many years ago, but its not all in turmoil. Please, do not take his books seriously.

In this entry I will be talking about Red Hot Christians. No, I am not talking about an immitation of RHCP. That would just be sad. I am talking about how we should ACT. We as Christians seem to have forgotten that God asked us to SPREAD THE WORD and LEAD AS MANY AS POSSIBLE TO CHRIST. Its not a 'save yourself' situation. Its 'save-as-many-as-you-can-and-then-only-can-you-be-truly-saved' situation. We have to be RED HOT ACTIVE CHRISTIANS!

I can still remember my first few Christian Psalty tapes. One of the songs basically went like this... If there are a bunch of red hot coals, and you take one of the coals away and put it all alone, eventually it WILL die out. We are the coals and the red-hotness is the presense of God in our lives. We can't be solo Christians. We have to find others and mix with them. We are the body of Christ. How can a body be a body when it is NOT a body? (you contemplate that question for awhile as I move on to my next point)

By being Red-Hot, you have to be PROUD you are Christian. Do NOT deny God. Be glad that you have been saved. You have to be willing to spread the word and lead new people to Christ. You have to stand up for what you believe in. You have to have undying trust and faith in the Lord.

Be red-hot today. Remember, the end times are approaching.

The Way of the World

I've always known that we've been slaves to the grind for a very long time. But today, it has just dawned on me on how badly we are affected by the evil that the devil has placed in this world. He does not give it to us straight forward, for he is not stupid. Instead, he laces it behind a seemingly beautiful web of lies, deciet and sheer evil.

Let me ask you this, how many of you come home after work or whatever to Watch Your Neighbours Have Sex? Its a strange question, but i mean it.

Surprisingly, whether you are aware of this or not, I am very sure that we ALL have done this. How many of you have watched a raunchy movie with steamy bits in it? Titanic, anyone? Or maybe Desperate Housewives? How about Eyes Wide Shut? Bridget Jones Diary? See what I mean? That is JUST AS BAD as going home to watch your neighbours' steamy lust.

Have you watched raunchy music video clips with overexposed bodies and very suggestive movements? Sure you have. Call that what you like... Innocent dancing, a publicity stunt, soft porn... The fact is that it IS PORN. And what about those of you who watch porn? Have you ever thought what goes into the making of porn? It is in fact people selling themselves for your filthy pleasure.

This world is corrupted. It is very corrupted. Want to see some examples of what the devil uses to get to us? Want to see what we fall into as we carry on with our daily lives?
-television
-celebrities
-fashion
-material possesions (your plasma tv, your ipod, your handphone)
-education (you'll be interested in this. I shall elaborate later)
-books & magazines
-friends and family
-the all-time popular sex, drugs, booze

The devil uses all the above to fill up our time with entertainment. He gets us hooked, he gets us addicted, he draws away the focus from God. Yeah, he's good at doing his thing. Thats why we as Christians have to be BETTER.

Now I shall elaborate. How the television draws us away from God is pretty clear. Endless mind-washing crap that keeps us hooked for hours and hours. Celebrities? They are some of the biggest influencers ever. So be careful who you idolize. Heck, don't idolize at all! Material possesions & fashion can be VERY distracting. You work your butt off to buy your new Adidas sneakers. The time & money spent could have been put to better use to glorify Him. And in the case of handphones and other electronics, you will have to constantly update these things AND think of the hours you waste on them. I'm sure you already know how books, mags, friends, family, and sex drugs and booze work already. So now for the interesting bit...

EDUCATION
you may not be a student, but this is still an interesting read. Think about this. How much time does one spend at school? Then you come back. Now, how much time do you spend doing your homework, tuition, and studying?
"Oh sorry God, I'm too busy to go to church today because my finals are tomorrow"
This sort of thing is ESPECIALLY true in Asian culture where kids are pressured to do well as it will lead to a successful carreer. HELLO?? Remember, He is the vine and we are the grapes. I can do just anything if Christ he strengthens me. Think God. Now, I'm not saying you should droppout here. I'm not saying that you should turn into one big ol fat slug and mooch around, expecting God to give you the 'A' you "rightfully" deserve. But if you do what you can to your very best, without cutting down any God-time, you can go "God, I didn't study that hard for my mid-term because I was busy studying Your word. Please help me pass this test" Come on now, the Holy Spirit is all-knowing. I'm SURE he can help you through your test, provided you HAVE already done your part.

We need a spiritual revival. I will not stop saying this. The end is near. Look out paradise, here I come. So make every day you live WORTH IT.

I wish to clarify something. I am no pastor. I am not the Pope. I am a teenager speaking what I feel that God is trying to say through me. Yeah, thats it.

I want to share with ya'll a little about me.

I am 14. I like running, America's Next Top Model, writing stories & poems, handphones & my dear dear friends and family. I like cats and someday I hope to be an interior designer. Some of my favourite movies are Freaky Friday, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Lord of the Rings. My favourite bands are The Black Eyed Peas, The Offspring, Evanescence, Gwen Stefanie, and Nickelback. I love reading books and I am rather fashion consious. But you know what?

I am a Christian, and I'm proud of it.

I ask of you not to judge me for that. I am a normal teenager too, but I love my Lord God above everything else. At this current time, I am doing what I can to spread His word, love, and eternal blessing amongst the people who He love so much. My God sent down his beloved son to DIE for me. Heck, he did not only die, he suffered shit for me. I am not just gonna stand by the side claiming to be a Christian come Judgement day. I'm gonna be doing what He wants me to do.

My sole goal in this blog is to reach people and draw them near to God. And I pray it will. Because the end times are not that far away. This world is going to end. Prepare for the kingdom!
